at 660 S. Zang Blvd.
II. Minutes for the April 17, 2003 Wynnewood North meeting where approved, minutes where

III. Guest Speaker
Kathy Davis, City of Dallas Code Compliance
- The City of Dallas has revised its code compliance policies effective August 1,
2003, including rules for bulk trash and lawn watering among others (see city
brochure). Residents that do not comply could face a $175.00 fine. Certified Mail
will be sent to any residence out of compliance and they will have 10 days to
respond, or then face a possible fine.
- If residents do not respond to the city regarding the new compliance rules, the city
will send a truck to pick up the trash or cut down grass/weeds, and the property
owner will be billed accordingly.
- This new policies approved by the City of Dallas will help keep the neighborhoods
neat and clean, and allow the department more time to work on other issues.
- Another issue that is growing out of hand and needs attention is the pet population.
There are too many strays and unwanted animals that are needlessly being put to
sleep. Sterilization programs are being created by the city to help this problem,
Spading is the best way to handle the pet over population and eliminate the thousands of animals that have to be put down.
Please be aware that there are assistance programs available for people who cannot afford to get their animals fixed. Contact the city for more
information.
